NOTE: Entries are limited to the first 98 teams to enter on both Days 1 and 2 (196 total).
This is a WALKING ONLY event.
Entry is open to any amateur golfer:
(1) Who is currently an Associate Member of the MGA at the club from which they are playing,
(2) Whose club is a current member club of the MGA, and
(3) Whose combined team Handicap Index® for 18 holes does not exceed 12.4 at the time of entry.
An entry may be rejected at the discretion of the Committee at any time, including after the competition has closed.
NOTE: For eligibility purposes, an MGA Associate Member through the MGA Join On-Line (JOL) program must have a Minnesota connection in addition to JOL membership in order to participate. Examples of connections would be a MN resident (permanent or seasonal), a non-resident student at a MN school, and/or an MGA course connection, validated by a course employee and/or score posting record. The Committee’s decision on such a connection and eligibility is final.
NOTE: Players do not need to be from the same club.
The Champion will be the team with the lowest total after 36 holes. In the event of a tie for the Championship, there will be a hole-by-hole playoff immediately following play.
All teams in the Championship will play their first round either Tuesday, August 16, or Wednesday, August 17. There will be a cut each day with the top teams advancing to the second round to be played on Thursday, August 18. NOTE: The exact number of teams advancing from each of the first two days will be determined after registration has closed and will be based on the percentage of teams playing on each day.
Tuesday, August 16: Round 1 (Day 1) - Starting times TBD
Wednesday, August 17: Round 1 (Day 2) - Starting times TBD
Thursday, August 18: Round 2 - Tee times begin 8:30 am
NOTE: Round 1 starting times will be available after registration has closed
Practice rounds may be available at the discretion of the host facility. To check on availability, contact the LeSueur CC Golf Shop (507/665-6292) and identify yourself as an MGA Four-Ball contestant. Fee may be dependent on the day and time you play.
Range balls will be provided prior to play each day. The range will open at least 60 minutes prior to play.
Food and Beverages:
An awards luncheon will be available for all players at no cost following play on Day 3.
