USGA Announces Tee Times for 42nd U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship

SCARBOROUGH, N.Y. (Sept. 5, 2023) – The United States Golf Association (USGA) today announced tee times for the first two rounds of the 42nd U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship, Saturday (Sept. 9) and Sunday (Sept. 10), at 6,840-yard, par-71 Sleepy Hollow Country Club, in Scarborough, N.Y., and at 6,657-yard, par-70 Fenway Golf Club, in Scarsdale, N.Y.

The U.S. Mid-Amateur consists of 36 holes of stroke play on Sept. 9 and 10, after which the 264-player field will be reduced to the low 64 scorers. There will be six rounds of match play, starting Sept. 11. The quarterfinals and semifinals are slated for Wednesday, Sept. 13. The championship is scheduled to conclude with a 36-hole final on Thursday, Sept. 14, starting at 7 a.m. EDT. The U.S. Mid-Amateur champion receives a full exemption into the 2024 U.S. Open Championship.

Fenway Golf Club, in Scarsdale, N.Y., will be set up at 6,657 yards and will play to a par of 35-35--70. The yardage for each round of the championship will vary due to course setup and conditions.
