$300 per team
NOTE: Entries are limited to the first 98 teams to enter on both Days 1 and 2 (196 total).

This is a WALKING ONLY event.

Eligibility:

Entry is open to any amateur golfer:
(1) Who is an MGA Associate Member,
(2) Whose Minnesota Handicap Index® is active at the time of entry,
(3) Whose Minnesota Handicap Index® is active effective the first day of the Championship, and
(4) Whose combined team Handicap Index® for 18 holes does not exceed 14.0 at the time of entry.

An entry may be rejected at the discretion of the Committee at any time, including after the competition has closed.

NOTE: For eligibility purposes, an MGA Associate Member through the MGA Join On-Line (JOL) program must have a Minnesota connection in addition to JOL membership in order to participate. Examples of connections would be a MN resident (permanent or seasonal), a non-resident student at a MN school, and/or an MGA course connection, validated by a course employee and/or score posting record. The Committee’s decision on such a connection and eligibility is final.

Additional Information

Format:
36-holes, four-ball, stroke play

The Champion will be the team with the lowest total after 36 holes. In the event of a tie for the Championship, there will be a hole-by-hole playoff immediately following play.

All teams in the Championship will play their first round either on Day 1 or Day 2 (Monday, August 19 or Tuesday, August 20). There will be a cut each day with the top teams advancing to the second round to be played on Day 3 (Wednesday, August 21). NOTE: The number of teams advancing from each of the first two days is determined after registration has closed and will be based on the percentage of teams playing on each day.

Schedule:
Monday, August 19: Round 1 (Day 1) - Starting times TBD
Tuesday, August 20: Round 1 (Day 2) - Starting times TBD
Wednesday, August 21: Round 2 - Tee times begin 8:00 am off #1/10
NOTE: Round 1 starting times will be available after registration has closed

Practice Rounds:
Practice rounds are available as follows: M-Th $73; F-Su $93 (cart is included in rate). To schedule a practice round, contact The Jewel Golf Shop (651/345-2672, Ext 1) and identify yourself as an MGA Four-Ball contestant.

Driving Range:
Range balls will be provided prior to play each day. The range will open at least 60 minutes prior to play.

Food and Beverages:
An awards luncheon will be available following play on Day 3 at no cost for all players making the cut. Food and beverages will be available on a cash or charge basis at other times.

Accommodations:
A group block with a special rate is available at the Americinn by Wyndham in Lake City. Conveniently located off Highway 61, it is 3 miles from The Jewel. Space is limited. Here are the details:
